Yesterday I noticed one of my female blue tetras had buggy bloodshot eyes. Giving her a closer look I thought it might be popeye so I set up my 10 gallon hospital tank and dosed with Sulfaplex. This evening I noticed a blood spot on her side/stomach area. Her eyes appear to be improved but now this blood spot. The community tank water parameters are good...ammonia 0, nitrite 0, and nitrate between 20-40 (probably 25-ish), temp 76, pH 7.3
Only thing different in hospital tank is the temp is set at 78 and of course lower nitrates (I use a seeded sponge filter from the main tank).
I don't know if possibly she ran into the glass and cause some internal damage or this is connected with the eye issue. She did not have the spot this morning for sure. Any ideas?
Side note: Yes, she is heavy with eggs but not near as big as they sometimes get (they literally look like they might POP sometimes), and the pink at the base of the tail is normal.
