Need hardscape advice/recommendations for a 29G

Hello all, TL;DR at the end if you don’t feel like reading all the way through. I’m here to ask for help on my 29G as the hardscape is simply not there. The tank looks super empty and frankly, it looks sad! My fish are healthy and active, but I think they deserve better than whatever’s going on right now. I have a fairly good idea of the plants I will get down the line, I want to use anacharis, anubias, java moss, and java fern. Beginner plants are AWESOME!

I’m still thinking about what I want to do with my hardscape. Do I get lots of small rocks and wood or do I get a few big pieces of rock or wood? Regardless it’ll be expensive! I’m very simple; I love the look of spiderwood and dragonstone but I’ll definitely be more drawn to the cheaper options in the end haha.

I can’t decide on what I should get more of or what direction to take this towards. The actual scaping and placement of everything is a talk for another day.

also, if you know any good driftwood or rock sellers I would greatly appreciate it! Would be awesome if they’re on Amazon as well.

TL;DR - I don’t know if I want a hardscape with lots of smaller pieces, a few big pieces, or a mix of both. I also want to know good places to buy materials online if my LFS doesn’t have them in stock.

manzanita-driftwood.com is a good place for hardscape. I've bought from them before, and everything is WYSIWYG. Fairly cheap. You can pick up around 2 large sized pieces for 40-50 bucks if you pick the right pieces.

Check out your local rockyard or landscape company. Likely to find a huge selection of rocks at very inexpensive prices.
Pet store rock prices are usually outrageous.

I seconded the second. This is a really great way to find rocks. Personally, I like grabbing one large one and taking a hammer to it. With eye protection, safety first.
