Need Another Canister Filter

I already have two filters on a 40 gallon tank. One is a tetra whisper ex 70x. The other is an EHEIM Classic 250 External canister filter 2213. I do have four goldfish in this tank. I was only intending on having three, but the company I ordered from sent an extra one! Since I am overstocked by one fish I would like to put another canister filter on the tank. It needs to be price friendly though!

Any recommendations? I did find this it seems to have a much higher output than most of the other ones.

Do you think that it would be a good idea to ditch the carbon filter pads, and fill the hob filter with ceramic bio rings and filter floss instead?

is it better to get one with uv or without?

it's your personal preference really. Both mine have uv with it. I only have them on when I introduce a new fish.

How about this one?

I currently have that canister in one of my tanks, I don't have any complaints.

I have the aquatop cf300, which performs well enough. I have some construction concerns with the media trays, as all my handles broke the first week but it is worth the 50 bucks I paid for it. I would be hard pressed to pay 80 bucks for it now though as mine came with fine filter pads, bio balls and ceramic rings but now they only come with the pads. However performance wise it has been great, people are always commenting on how clean my tank is...

How about this one?

I also have one of these with the UV. It works just as well as any $200+ filter if you ask me.

I am leaning towards that one. As far as media to fill it with what do you recommend?

My Aquatop came with media, sponge, polishing pad, ceremic rings, and lava rock. I buy sponge media that can be cut to size and aquarium scrubbing pads that can be cut.
Poly fiber padding works great too.

The Truaqua 400 is what I use (minus the UV). Poly fiber is all I keep in mine.

I was unaware of there being benefits to using UV on freshwater...??

For the HOB, I would recommend ditching the carbon... It's really an uneccessary expense -- My HOB's utilize empty carbon bags and emptied carbon pads!!!

The description says that it comes with "three fine filter pads (white) and a single coarse filter sponge (blue)". So I will have to buy the rest of the media.
