Need Advice On My Stocking

I went this past weekend to a fish store about 40 miles away because I'd heard a lot about them, and also that they carry Peacock Gudgeons, which I wanted to add to my 10 gallon (I currently have 6 CPDs and Cherry and Amano shrimp). Well they were out of stock, but I was surprised to see Threadfin Rainbowfish, which I had also considered. I asked the guy there if two would be okay and he said yes. Well now I'm reading that at minimum you want to keep 5, but I don't know if that would be really pushing it. Here is a picture of my tank.

Hi, CPD's are only tiny & your shrimp will hardly make any impact on the bio-load, IMO if you have decent filtration running & carry out regular water changes you'll be OK to add 5 threadfins. I'd wait for the peacocks though (just a personal thing), I have 5 of them in my tank & they are beautiful.

Thank you, yeah I decided to get the Threadfins instead of the Peacocks since I was impatient and didn't want to wait, haha
