Well, I swore I never would, but have become one of the crazies that actually names their fish. I have two tanks with several SA cichlids and dithers. The cichlids get names, the dithers I just call Collaterals (just in case one becomes a snack). I have everyone named except the new Red Shouldered Severum. Think she is a she, but I'm wrong 50% of the time so I have been trying to stick to unisex names (Maizie, my male gold severum is still mad he got a girl name ).
New one is young, only about an inch, so no coloring yet, just the bars. Sorry pic is crappy...
All suggestions welcome. I prefer to name based on looks or characteristics. But this one will change drastically, so I'm stumped. There is another Sev (red spotted green) in the tank who is super shy and skittish, always hiding - hence the name Calypso (means "she who hides"). Also, no real names like George (although, oddly enough, I have a George...but only becuz he's a Geo...)
Crazy lady thanks you!
