In the past I've used regular in glass aquarium thermometers and the temps appeared to be pretty solid. Recently, I've bought a very accurate digital thermometer and I can tell more accurately that the temp is actually fluctuating +-1.2 degrees.. is this normal?

I have a digital thermometer and the temp fluctuates as well. As long as its just a couple of degrees, I don't worry.

Mine can fluctuate up to 2 degrees in 24 hours, since its a very slow process due to the waters mass, I don't worry too much about it.

Thanks guys! I didn't know if it was a problem since I've never been able to monitor it as carefully as my digital thermometer can.
