There is about a 20 minute window on sunny afternoons where a south-facing window about 10 feet away from my big tank shines rays directly into the side of the tank. It is my favorite time of the day, however, most days I'm at work when it happens. Today, I stayed home sick and was on my laptop working in my chair across from the tank, and I got to see the full 20 minutes!! Took a couple of pictures. They don't do it justice!!

Do you have any pictures of natural light rays invading your tank?

My 330 gal was lit by natural light all day I would take photos of my glass fish and they looked like they were flying. Natural light gives a whole different dynamic to a tank

Unfortunately that tank exploded a few years ago so I lost them all. Now have a slightly more aggressive/ large fish community in the new 300 with oscars, blood parrots, severum, convicts, blue Acaras and silver dollars. Is nice with the big fish but definitely not the same as a community with 100+ fish

I had this 46g bow under/against an east window, the sun would shine though the transparent blue background every morning, it was beautiful. I used to get some hair algae in the spring, but overall this was one of my best growing tanks. The angels in here raised many babies here too :)

I’m working from home at present (along with half of the world) and opened my window for half an hour of natural light.

Striped silver dollars look great reflecting the sun and my angel looks better than usual.

And I’m biased but I always think my Vieja looks amazing but more so in the light :)

Cute little BP there also how big are they
They’re so cute huh? :)

mine are quite smal. I see others in stores and friends’ ones and they’re double the size of mine. One is same size as some silver dollars the other one is smaller.
