Hahaha Grant. I always forget about US having the surprised look outlets

Yeah. I get tired of pulling cords too when having to do stuff in the tank. I was going to invest in a strip outlet with individual switches for each. But ehh... future build will have all that jazz instead.

I have one for my water station ... I’ve never seen one elsewhere though! It’s like a big breakout box sort of.

I also recently picked up some outlet multipliers at Home Depot that have 5 outlets, 2 usb and they are GFCI outlets.

The other thing I have is a small extension/multiple outlet thing like a minI extension cord. It’s got 4 grounded plugs on like a 1 ft cord. I have pumps and heater plugged into it so I just have to unplug 1 thing when feeding the 29. I wish I could just put that cord on some sort of temporary timer like a feed Timer. I’ve forgotten to plug it back in several times! The lights in the hood make fan noise so I always forget I’ve unplugged pumps because the tank sounds on.

Do y’all know if something like that exists? Some sort of temporary timer?

CJ - I wondered about the temporary timer too. When I did a quick research about that, people reversed wired some kind of gadget to do just that... I'll do some more research about those timers later this week to see if I find anything.

We'll all be interested in reading what you find.

Waited till lights went out to get everyone into the love shack.

Took a chapter right out of grantm91 's book

Phosphates at 0.15 ppm. Still too high for me to put everything over. I'll do a water change this weekend and see where it's at.

Yeah ... my clown hasn’t really introduced herself to the nem yet either. I just knew she would as she loved the hammer in the 85. I almost feel bad like I should move some of it over for her. She mainly just hangs out in the cave area behind the rocks.

Haha, love shack baby, if they still refuse, either drain some water off, or hoist them up on your light mount with some string.

100% water change for the IM10 like a boss! Love using a Petco 10 gallon tank to mix.

IMG_8902.jpg

and............................ look what I saw this morning. Can you see where the Wyoming clown is? grantm91 would be so proud.

IMG_8905.jpg

Many unsuccessful attempts. The Picasso clown figured a way to jump out of the strainer. I actually gave up in trying to get them to go to the RBTAs. But last night I figured I'd give it one more try with the help of some wires to help hold the basket up so the clowns can't escape back into the tank. Went to check on them this morning and saw the RBTA hosting the Wyoming clown! whoo hoo.... I'll give it another day to see if the Picasso clown goes into one as well.
Hopefully there's no more Phosphate leaching from the PukanI rocks in the IM10 and I can put everything in the tank and be done!

Your picaso will follow suit. The pasta strainer is a cert, breeder box is a hit and miss, this is the only way that's worked out for me. Congratulations aswell haha, that im10 just went up a load of knotches !

Updating ya'll on the bads of the tank, just so you don't think it's all perfect with my tanks

First day of putting the RBTA's in the IM10, they went in a hiding mode. Literally crawled into the holes within the rockwork and stayed in there for 2 days... But remember, they do this in the wild too, too much flow, predators, etc... so I dialed back down the flow some and magically they appeared on the other side of the holes.
Next morning, I found one of my RBTA's floating around... I knew it wasn't happy with the flow. So I turned down the flow some more and placed it in a lower flow area.
RBTA's seem to be semi-settled in. We shall see.

The Picasso and Wyoming clown? Not getting along at the moment. The aggressor/bigger clown, Wyoming, is chasing out the Picasso clown to the top.
Nothing too bad yet and both are eating, so I'm keeping an eye on them to see if it gets too bad. I personally don't have a good feeling about the pairing process though, so one will most likely have to go. If it does come down to that, the Wyoming will be packing her bags and out the IM10.

Culprit - those dotty looking guys are ricordea floridae, they grow 'em nice down here..

Ohhhhhh when I was down in florida/alabama a few days ago we went to an estuarium. It was super cool! An estuarium is brackish water. I should upload some pics, they had awesome stuff. But I saw mollies and killifish, they had a softie corals exhibit (which had aiptasia!!!!!!) where they said that that estuary had corals like the ricordea floridae and other softies!

I'd love to see those pics Culprit !!! I've come to realize that even the best tanks deal with aiptasia... at least, I think so. I've seen so many great reefers report on their own experiences with it. Seems almost unavoidable... but that's not to say we shouldn't try!

It's an enjoyable setup given that I do nothing to the tank but feed and water change. I did notice the frogspawn not opening as much and guessed it was probably low Alk. Did a test, 7.0 Alk. Hmmm time to add Kalk to the ATO.

Oh yeah, the pulsing xenias are very fun to keep. It's been shooting off and sprouting new polyps and constantly pulsing the entire rock. Hmmmm..... maybe I'll do the 90gallon full of pulsing xenias and two Mandarins instead haha.

If you have aiptasia, and it's bad... look for these nudis. A member from my local club breeds and sells them. They eat nothing but aiptasia, though once your aiptasia is gone... you'll want to re-home or grow aiptasia in another tank just for them.

Wish I could get a IM10 as a zoa tank, the nems are stunning, your cultivation method is proven lol, I have those green zoas you have dotted in there, they grow at a snails pace, another nice working nart, the salt consumes you haha.

My goodness the growth on everything is astounding. I love the new montipora its really cool. The nems are huuuggeee and I can now see why pusling xenia is considered such a pest

Excellence once again Nart! No one ever made xenia look so good! I mean that. I think the BTA's really pop without a lot of competition for color, yet the xenia forest is also beautiful. What have you got all the shrooms in? It looks kind of like they're in petrI dishes. For ease of removal? Encouraging splitting?

Thank you Y'all!
It's a lot of fun and mesmerizing to watch these xenias pulse.
Yeah the PetrI dish is just for easy removal during cleaning.

Let's give ya'll some updates on this tank. I should be updating ya'll more often on this tank as it's one of my easiest tanks to care for.

Here's a pic I took really quick of it last night, so please excuse the terrible blue with the front tank shot.
As you can see the pulsing xenias has really grown in. The RBTA and red montI has really grown quite a bit too.

IMG_9847.jpg

Close up of one of the rainbow bubble tip anemone.
That's as close as I can get in terms of the true colors showing up in pics

IMG_9846.jpg

This IM10 tank is really easy to care for as that was the goal in the beginning with this tank.
I just do anywhere from 2-4 gallons of water change a week. I think I've only tested Alk and Magnesium about 3 times since I've had this tank up and running.
I just look at the corals as my guage to see if they are doing well or not and dose a little Alk and or Magnesium every so often...

Oh - there's also different strands of GSP as well. Short stalk and long stalk GSPs. I've had GSPs from WWC before and those were short stalk, grew pretty well. The long stalks are kind of fun because it sways back n forth in the flow.

I was checking out my IM10 yesterday and was like... wait. Is this a 3rd RBTA?
Looks like my RBTA in the back decided to split.
