Mystery snails eating amazon swords and java fern

I have a new 40 gallon breeder tank that I stocked with fish two weeks ago. I added 6 gold mystery snails 2 days ago because the water parameters were normal again. It is heavily planted with duck weed, hornwort, java moss, java fern and amazon sword. After 8 hrs or so I check in on the tank and 3 leaves on a sword are destroyed, and many holes on the java ferns. I have seen all the snails eating the plants and I knock them off whenever i see it. I thought mystery snails didn’t eat live plants, how do i get them to stop?

My guess is they don't have other food sources yet such as biofilm and algae. What do you feed them?

Put veggies in there for them to eat. Cucumber Zucchini etc.

Are you sure they aren't apple snails? I can't tell the difference between how they look, but I know that Mystery snails won't eat plants. Apple snails love to eat plants.

That was my first thought too. She said they were ivory, I thought apple snails were more brown colors. I just read mystery snails have orange eyes.....I will have to read more on that one.

I never noticed the eye color, but I do know that Apples come in Ivory cause I had some once. They were fine in a BB tank...I also know that Apples are often sold as Mystery's either accidently or on purpose because the Mystery's are more in demand.
