Mystery snail with trapped air bubble

I have occasionally seen my snails floating, and they have always resolved the issue on their own within a few minutes. However, I have one that has now been floating for 2 days and doesn't seem able to release the bubble. I know he is alive because when I touch him the antennae come out.

I have rescued him twice from being caught in the filter current, and tucked him away in the corner behind the heater (a hiding spot they all love) He hasn't made any attempt to adhere to the wall and is just floating there in the corner. I don't know how long he can go without eating. Should I be worried?

If it matters, I have 4 mystery snails and the others are behaving normally.

Maybe try holding the snail, tip it back til he extends out far enough to try and right himself. Might work trying to "burp" it that way.

Ah I forgot to mention, I did turn him upside down underwater but he didn't like that and pulled in the trap door. The air can't come out if he won't come out of his shell and he seems not to want to do that, poor fella

Have you turned him upside down at the surface then gently lower to the bottom hold him there for a few seconds before turning him right side up, this will help to migratory trapped air

I tried this just now and got two bubbles out but not only is he still floating but he did not move at all during the process and i think he has died. I put him back in the corner in case i am wrong, but it doesn’t look good.
Thank you all for your help.

i am so sorry for your loss. don't eat him though.
i have a question about behavior of mystery snails. i have them in all 4 of my tanks. in the evening, many, if not all of them, go up to the top of the waterline and sit just below the surface. it's so odd to see. the one i notice it consistently in is a 55g with no large fish. only corry's, 1 lone endler, many many grown and baby bn plecos, garra and yoyo loaches. i think that's everyone. oh there should be a baby, tiny fire eel in there, but i see him rarely. does anyone else observe this in their snails? any idea why they would do this?

Mystery snails generally go to the surface to breath air and fill their little tank up, its quite common to see and a must.
