Mystery snail shell growth problem?

I'm not sure how long this has been going on, because you can't see the problem at all underwater. I only realized it when I witnessed my largest apple snail accidentally fall on one of my mystery snails and I took her out of the water for a second to make sure there were no chips or cracks on her shell.

This is a magenta mystery, I've had her since late May/early June and since she's been living with me she has really grown. But when I took her out of the water tonight, I think she's having shell growth problems. It looks like part of her shell is growing in clear...completely see through. Is this normal for this color of mystery and I've just never noticed before? I really can't imagine it'd be normal. The only thing 'different' about her is that she is one of the most active snails - but she's always been very energetic.

I have one other mystery, two nerites, my three apple snails, and all my baby snails...everyone else has strong, healthy growth. No malleated shells, no thin shells, no cracks...I'm at a loss as to why only one snail would have issues. The pH is stable and my API test kit always shows it at a color between 7.4 and 7.6. I had always used crush egg shells loosely in the tank for calcium, but my appetite has been gone lately so with no eggshells I've had a cuttlebone in the tank for about a week instead. I offer snail jello every night along with high calcium veggies, so it really shouldn't be a calcium problem.

The only other thing I can think of is my water temp...we are having a massive heatwave in Florida right now and my tank has been up around 78.5 because of it. I have been keeping the tank light off and my ceiling fan on to keep it as cool as I can. I know that's on the high side, but it's only been going on about a week now.

Any recommendations of what I can do for her? Should I float a water bottle to get the tank temp down some? Or would adding a small vacation feeder maybe add extra calcium? I see her on the snail jello all the time, I just don't think calcium could be an issue.

Looks normal to me! It seems to take time for the colour to develop after the shell grows. I wouldn't worry about it

Thank goodness...I've seen new white shell growth come in and then get the magenta color, but I've never noticed the outer rI'm of growth being crystal clear before. These guys make me learn new things every day!

It may stay that way! I have had magenta/purple snails with the same thing. I don't think its anything to worry about - the shell looks shiny and smooth. When you start seeing ridges and roughness, that's when you know that the water ( calcium and hardness ) can be an issue. You are doing all the right things.

As far as the water temps, I don't know about that - it doesn't seem all that high and may encourage breeding and faster growth, if anything.

Six egg clutches in the past month! The struggle is real

Agreed, it's normal. Just to give a little more, my understanding from research and experience, when they have new shell growth, the outer part grows first, and then they refortify the inside part, so shortly after the new shell grows it will be thinner, and then she will build up the inside so that it's the same thickness as the rest.
