I'm new to mystery snails and I can't figure out what the this clear gooey stuff my snail is leaving everywhere. I know it's silly but at first I even thought his interestines were coming out. Also any advice on cleaning it so it doesn't just float off into the water?

Huh, mine have never had poop that looks like that and it's definately not eggs. It looks like the slime coat is sloughing off somehow. What are the tank parameters/temp/size?

I also forgot, what are you feeding it? Sometimes fish get white stringy poop if they're starving. Mystery Snails don't live on tank algae and leftovers. A lot of people don't know that sadly.

It's a 10 gallon tank at 78 degrees with a betta fish and some plants. I had to transport him back and forth from my parents house for winter break, and that was the first time I noticed it as far as I can recall, but I'm not sure because I thought it was just something normal
