Mystery Snail has Fungus inside of it?

So I don't know the exact date I bought her but a few months ago or so I bought two mystery snails that mated. The female I'm talking about here is named Vanilla Bean. I don't know as much about mystery snails as I should, but I know she looks like she has a sort of fungus or stress slime?? She used to have a mate, but he recently passed away due to an aggressive fish. Since then I separated her into a peaceful tank, but she always hid in her shell. I thought maybe being around my other mystery snails would help her, but she stayed hidden. I moved her with my rabbit snails she'd been with at the very beginning when she was most active but again, she stays hidden. I haven't seen her eating all this time either. Near the beginning of her hiding, she'd randomly appear at other areas of the tank, but I never saw her moving myself. This has been over the course of roughly 21 days thus far and I really have no clue what to do for her at this point.

For the sake of differing the two tanks, the tank she has been in for a while now is Naga's. The tank she has been in for the past two days is Peach's. Naga and Peach are both female bettas and I never see them hunting the snails, and I've kept a close watch over their behavior. Naga's has 4 other mystery snails and none of them seem to be breeding since I bought them, so I don't know their genders. Peach's has two cappuccinos, a black devil, and a sulawesi snail. All of them are very active and eat plenty like Vanilla Bean used to do. I performed water changes three days ago (October 18th) of about 30-50% for both tanks. Their parameters are as follows for both tanks. . .

Naga's (Betta) Tank
Overall Inhabitants: Two bettas, 4 rabbit snails (not including Vanilla Bean)
Inhabitants in her section: One juvenile female betta, 4 mystery snails (not including Vanilla Bean)
Temperature: 76-79°F
Size: Divided 10-Gallons (5-Gallons of space in her section)
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrate: 20ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
gH: 300ppm
kH: 40ppm
pH: 6.8

Peach's (Betta) Tank
Overall Inhabitants: Two adult female bettas, 4 rabbit snails (not including Vanilla Bean)
Inhabitants in her section: One adult female betta, 4 rabbit snails (not including Vanilla Bean)
Temperature: 75-78°F
Size: Divided 10-Gallons (5-Gallons of space in her section)
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrate: 20ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
gH: 300ppm
kH: 40ppm
pH: 6.8

I feed my snails sinking wafers (I have no idea which brand but I've used it for as long as I've had them) and cucumbers. All of my snails Love these cucumbers and will not leave them until every last bit is gone, so I now primarily feed them those. I've not once seen Vanilla Bean eat wafers or cucumbers in the past 21 days, although I have to assume she has at some point.

The photos of Vanilla Bean in a cup are of her slime (I just now cupped her and have the cup in the tank's water so she won't be cold), and the one with her and the other snail is her and her mate LoveBerry. He would always follow her and hang out on top of her because he wanted lots of LoveBeans and VanillaBerrys. I've really been hoping she'll lay some eggs someday because they bred a LOT, several times a day a lot, and I really hope to have some of LoveBerry's baby snails so any tips on helping her and maybe encouraging her to lay some eggs would be very nice. I kept her water levels low but after she stopped moving around at all, I kinda just lost hope.

I really love my snails, enough to name them individually and cry when they pass and keep their shells to remember my lovelies by, so this is very important to me. As much help as I can get is very appreciated. Please give me all of the advice and whatever I can do to help her. :)

Mystery snails thrive in 76-84 degree water. Anything colder than this can cause the, to go into hibernation. It's almost certain that you'll have little babies on the way! Female snails can store sperm in them for a while, so it isn't exactly predictable when she will have little baby snails. Let the waiting begin!

I wish that were the case for her, but thank you. The temperature she was in was almost always above 76 degrees. As of yesterday morning, I'd found that she passed away. (She's still in a container as of now and it's easy to tell from the smell alone.) I wish I knew why because this also happened with one of my Sulawesi snails I had a month ago or so and I'm devastated. :(

If anyone has any idea as to what caused this please let me know.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry that happened... I'll definitely look into what happened and do some research. Make sure your other snails are acting normal, I'd hate for anything else like this to happen... I'll let you know if I come up with any possible causes. Again, I'm so sorry this happened </3

Thank you very much. Please let me know if you find anything. I've been looking but seems like no one else has this issue. It's so hard for me to find this sort of information. She and LoveBerry were my favorites. All of my other snails are acting normally and eat well. My fish barely even acknowledge they exist and I never see them nip, even with their antennae right in front of them.

With regards to the Sulawesi snail I had, all of my snails came from the same pet store. When I adopted this rabbit snail I didn't see it move in the tank it was in (Sulawesi snails are extra slow). I called it Trinket. Trinket poked out of its shell maybe once whilst in my tank (which probably had similar parameters as they do now), and then closed up until it died like my Vanilla Bean eventually did. Once they stopped responding to my little chopstick being near them, I knew they'd died. (No I did not poke them much at all.) Although I did not notice this Sulawesi snail producing any stress slime, I never saw it eat or move. It just... Shut down over time, so I kept its shell and got a refund. :(

I did forget to mention one thing! I use Aquarium CO-OP's Easy Green fertilizer for my plants. I just found out it has EDTA Diammonium Copper. I don't know if that's what caused this or not because all of my other snails are okay, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Yeah, so far from what I've seen, I've not come up on anything.. I wonder if maybe they were old when you purchased them? Slowly dying of old age or something. I'm still going to do some research, but as of now, it's quite the mystery unfortunately ):

I did post about the aquarium fertilizer I used. I don't know if that could be the culprit or not. The Sulawesi snail had been moved into a cup and to another tank after we noticed it was ill and for the majority of its illness until death. We used that tank's water which had the same parameters and had no fertilizer or plants in it. I had no idea this mess had copper in it! I hope that isn't what killed Vanilla Bean but I wouldn't be surprised. :(

Copper is known to kill snails unfortunately. Apparently it's very toxic to them. I remember reading some articles on another site about mysteriously finding snails had died after adding new fertilizer which ended up containing copper. That might be the problem to be honest... It's still a very sad and unfair situation. I'm sorry this's happened to you. Still could have been caused by something else, but high chance it was the copper in the fertilizer

Thank you very much for the help. I'm so sad, but at least now I know. I'll probably move my snails out of that tank until I can get them into one without the fertilizer. This really means a lot to me so thank you. <3

So we looked up the site. The guy who runs it has snails and etc. in his tanks with this fertilizer. His site post says that it's completely safe for fish, snails, shrimp, etc.

Here is the site for reference (I don't believe this is a competing site so I hope it's okay to post):
Is Easy Green fertilizer safe for fish, shrimp, and snails?

I wish I knew how/if this was true or not. It does have EDTA Diammonium Copper, but it is also a very reliable source from what I'm aware of. I have no idea what else it could've been. But again, thank you for the help.

Interesting! Well hopefully you can get to the bottom of this soon. I wish you luck

Your snail was literally mated to DEATH! SMH I’m sure she was hiding, because she was tired of being mounted. I don’t understand why anyone would think this was acceptable behavior. Poor girl
