Mystery Snail Got Stuck In Filter

I have this mystery snail and it got stuck on the filter intake a while ago he has not been out of his shell but he will come out but not move anywhere I have smelt him and he smells fine when I take him out he closes his shell I will post a pic when I get home

 

I had to put a sponge on the intake for that reason. Hope he’s ok.

It might cost around $3 online, you could also use nylon (pantyhose), a sock etc. better if it’s new though and not ever washed with detergent.

 

Mine got stuck on a powerhead intake it killed one and the other bigger one didn't move for 3 weeks. But it finnaly came out and has since recovered fully. Also there are filter sponges out there that will slide up over the intakes.

 

I lost a snail this way and I will not put them in any tank without a sponge over the intake now. I used an old media bag until I could get a sponge. If you do go for the sponge I would recommend the course one so it doesn’t get clogged every few days.
