I am really scared!!! I think my snail is eating itself! can a mystery snail do that? I thought I saw it trying to nibble on itself.....all I have are bottom feeder wafers which I thought would be good for snails. I have had her from the beginning of September.

Do you have any pictures? They do need quite a lot of protein, so algae wafers won't sustain them, but it shouldn't make them resort to cannibalism

Try to give it some food and see how it reacts. Hopefully it will go for the food and stop eating itself.

Do you have any fish food? Flakes or pellets? Try feeding some of that.

If all you have are frozen veggies, try to choose something nice and soft. Mine love blanched zucchinI and spinach.

Also I'd like to add that I don't think it's a itself, it's possible it's eating it's slime coat, but I don't see any physical damage
