Why is he digging? I have plenty of cover for him between plants and caves.

I don't know why, but mine do it sometimes too! I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Ok cool. I read somewhere that sometimes they do that if lights are to bright, but he has a ton of places to hide during the day. Thanks!!

I think they bury themselves like that to sleep.

I have aquarium gravel and yet I still have one mystery snail that digs and buries himself from time to time...he usually comes back 'out' within a few hours after a nap. Snails are silly creatures!

I actually have a zebra nerite that likes to dig, he is also the only nerite out of four who does it. I would guess it's his personality.

I had a mystery snail disappear for 3 days. I found him during a gravel vacuum. He 're buried himself the next day. They like to play hide and seek.

I made my cuties a big cave and they all sleep in there now instead of digging and me worrying about my plant roots! I'll post a pic of the cave tomorrow as it is 3:37 am here! I think as long as you don't mind them digging it's okay. Now mine only dug up a plant that was dying and snacked on some dead roots lol. They're strange little creatures but we love them
