Mystery Snail Breeding Or Not?

So, I've had two mystery snails in my tank for quite a few months now and neither have shown much interest in one another. I tried sexing them, it was very difficult and I came to the conclusion that they were both females. However, I recently purchased another one (I can't stop myself, they're so adorable) and it seems as though one of my older snails has attempted to breed with the new one a few times. I believe now that my two older snails are both males! However, I'm curious, is it possible for snails to misgender one another? If my older snail has tried breeding with the new one, does that guarantee that they are opposite genders? Is there anyways they've accidentally made a mistake and have tried breeding with a male? I want to know if I should 100% be expecting eggs from my new snail or if perhaps my snail made a mistake? It's a bit of a silly question but I don't want to get my hopes up that I've gotten myself a breeding pair only to be disappointed haha.

I have six snails my females always seems bigger than the males here a pic of one of my breeding pairs mating I've just had 3 batches of eggs what has hatched couple of weeks ago once you see them breeding they will pretty much breed everyday! I don't think males will try and breed with each other but they might if they is no female about

Ok so mine are definitely trying to breed haha, that's exactly how they look, I'm pretty sure I might have even seen his sex organ while they were mating, so I'm hopeful that I might get a batch of eggs at some point! How low do you leave the waterline in your aquarium to encourage them to lay eggs?

My 10 gallon tank has a high lid so they lay the eggs on the inside of the lid but my other tank I have to drop the waterline about 2inch which I do every other week to let them lay they eggs

Oh ok, awesome. My tank has about an inch and a half of room, but in a few days it will have dropped down to about 2 inches. Some people have suggested to me to leave them up to 4 inches but my tank gets incredibly loud if I do and unfortunately it's in my bedroom, makes sleeping kind of difficult. So I'm hoping they'll manage alright with just 2 or maybe 3 inches.

I had 12 mystery snails in my tank for over 4 months. Both males and females. Id always see them breeding but there were never any babies... Until recently. They been laying eggs like crazy!
They won't lay eggs if there's not enough food in the tank for the next generation

Funny, I just caught the mystery snails I bought last weekend in that same position, I haven't seen any eggs yet, but it's only been a few hours.

So you're saying they can keep fertilized eggs for 6 months before laying them?

Snail Love isn't it "Grand". Do not worry about the water level if they want to lay some clutches they will find a spot. Careful what you wish for. Lol

Good Luck and Have Fun.
