I normally can identify what genes are at play with a certain fish, and what aren’t. But, I recently found a pretty girl at Petco (of course, I had to come home with her) and I’m stumped. She looks like a koi, but instead of white, she has orange. She has the trademark black and color (red) speckling otherwise. I’m wondering, is she what is considered a “nemo” koi? Is there a secret subset of koi bettas that I didn’t know about? Any and all help is appreciated!

Yes she does look like a Nemo koi. She has more orange and red than the normal koi colouration.

I think a nemo koi betta would be a good guess. Very beautiful fish.
