Mystery German Blue Ram Illness!

HI guys I have 3 GBRs in my main aquarium, I added them after 2 weeks of quarantine just a couple of days ago. However since then one of them has fallen very ill and the others are also showing signs of the same illness. Basically the only visible symptoms are rubbing against objects, increased breathing and a motion I can best describe as shaking their back fin. Later on the fish isolates itself, its gills swell up and breathing is very rapid, then it dies. Does anyone have any idea what this could be ?

They are pretty weak from most sources. Is the heat up to their liking? Some say 8oF is OK but that seems to be on the lower edge. Maybe a slightly different story if raised from fry in our water but for most of us that is not the case. Temp makes them tough to keep for long in a community tank.

Am currently treating my gbr for the same symptoms with so far much success. It’s gill flukes with they r very prone too...they are also very funky with ammonia level even minimal 0.1-2 readings .. immune system shuts downs and parasites attack... I am using copper safe ,quickcure , and salt trio with 20% water changes.. breathing has stabilized and he is starting to swim around again also he is eating since last night

I used coppersafe , quickcure, and salt . Did 20% water change on second day.. he’s is back to 100% now..
