Mystery Eggs?

lights are out so I can’t post a picture, but will tomorrow.

I have a gold and blue that are always @stuck together.” Actually saw the gold hitchhiking on the blue last week, for hours. Today they were face to face.

And I have eggs on my sponge filter plastic.

In another tank with 2 golds, one has eggs on its shell.

If I remember my past research correctly, they need to lay their eggs above water for them to hatch, right?

That, and along with very high humidity and heat.

What I used to do was, use basic, cooking plastic wrap and cover all of the top holes, raise the temp to about 90 degrees and do not open for quite a while.
