Mystery catfish

So a few days ago I received these two mystery fish that I got for free they are 14 years old and the previous owner has had them since they were little french fries. Currently in a 50 gallon tank. I've searched the internet inside and out for the name of these fish.. I have no idea what temperature they like, habitat or anything.. the previous owner has been trying to get rid of them for a long time as she wasn't capable of taking care of them. She doesn't even remember the names. Which leads to the ultimate reason I'm here! So... what are these mysterious fish?

Pimelodus, or Synodontis, or Mystus... too many to choose!
How big are they, and do they swim upside-down?

Sorry, I thought I covered all the information They don't swim upside down, they actually stay on the bottom of the tank 95% of the time. I'm pretty sure they are bottom feeders. Other than that all I know is that they are fish, and they swim.

Also they are roughly 8". One of the other things I was wanting to know is that if they are aggressive, I was hoping to put a few of my other fish in there (4 of my bloodfin tetras). Only because they are pestering my other fish(A whole different story).

they would definitely eat a tetra; all the possibilities are predatory catfish.

I had a look at the Pimelodus species and couldn't see any that really matched. The top fin was the wrong shape.
And I wouldn't say aggressive, more like opportunistic. All of them will eat anything available that sleeps at the bottom and will fit in their deceptively large mouth.
Could also be one of the many Bagridae catfish.

Edit: just noticed that you catfish looks like she has cataracts. Poor baby :3

Editedit: How big is the anal vin? Veil type, or more small and pointy like a leaf? Annnnddd I looked at pics of all the Bagridae species and none matched.

Ahhh! Such a mysterious fish! And I noticed its eyes were very unhealthy, I even contemplated that they were blind. I will try to get more pictures of the full body. The analfin is more rounded like a veil. Later this evening I will take some pictures and hopefully get a match
