So I have 1 phenomal oto that has been with us the longest, eats non-stop, is a spaz and not scared of anything even if it's 3x bigger than him. Then we have gone through 2 others. One didn't make the night and we found the body the next day. I have read and heard of the terrible, stressful situations they are put through before you can actually take them home...poor little guys.
The other one I thought made a buddy with our good Oto. They swam and ate together for over a week, then it literally just disappeared; can't find the body, no remains or any clues anywhere. Now someone actually told me that because there isn't much to them they can easily sort of disintegrate. I kind of jokingly laughed, but is there any validity to this statement and has anything like this happened to any otos you know of? Our tank is cycled, fish are happy, no issues that are known, and we had the little guy for about a week. thanks for any info
