Myrterious vampire Snails?

I have a question about pest snails, so everyone knows about the dark round snails, has anyone ever experienced small pest snails with pointy coin like shells? I can post pics if it's something crazy or unheard of.

 

Malaysian trumpet snails and some pond snails have pointy shells.

 

they look like this, nothing fancy, I've had some get close to half an inch so far. Mostly light brown, some have a dark brown or black ring close to the point of the shell

 

I only ever had the pond snails from plants, also have had apple and mystery snails in the tank but they died off. Then I got a lone assassin snail, he is still milling about, I've never seen him do his job. I also read they Breen in salt water, which rules that out if it's correct.

Ok, your correct I think, they look similar to the trumpet snails, but behave exactly like them. Thank you for the insight.

 

Assassin snails can breed in freshwater. Nerites are the ones that breed in brackish water.

 

Those look like malaysians to me. Annoying little things.

 

I probably remove 50 a day.
