My yellow lab cichlid still hasn't given birth...

Should my yellow lab cichlid had her fry or is this normal. I have had her for 4 weeks now she was already pregnant and looked like this:


That pic was a week after I got her. I can't get a pic of her now but she has the babies in her mouth and they are getting big. Please help me!

When she is ready, she will release them.

 

You can manually do it. Get a tuber ware container and scoop her out. Hold her with your and and take a tooth pick and gently press down the bottem of her mouth and then tilt her head down. The babies will swing free.

Ive done it many of times and so do many cichlid owners.

also when she has them do I separate her from the babies?

 

I would to be on the safeside. I can't remember if that subspecies protects there young. I do know that if there are other fish in the tank they will try to get them. Also maybe why she hasn't released them yet. She doesn't feel that it's safe.
