My wife twists my arm again!

My wife (lexi03 for those that don't know) and I recently decided we are taking down our 75 gallon to put up our empty 90g in its place. After long discussion and compromise (plans made to move fish to one tank or the other) , we decided to put 2 bps in the 90g. We both knew it would be awhile before we do this swap since we have to get our 125g up and running. We are now in the process of starting up a 55g.

Today we were at one of our local petsmarts looking for plants and a background for the 55g. I was looking at the bps while she was looking at plants. She came over and started staring at the juvis. She says to me, "you shouldn't have let me come over here." She starts trying to convince me to put the 55 gallon stocking on hold so we can buy the bps now. We ended up walking out with the smallest juvI they had. We are going to go back soon to find him a buddy we like. We are still debating on names, but here are a few pics.

Thanks everyone

I just think he( or she?) is so adorable. Lots of personality already too. He is being QTed in the 55gal with some other fish we just got, and he has been chasing them all over( they are to fast tocatch though.) And if someone sits in front of the tank he will come to the glass and try everything to get your attention. I have to tape a piece of paper on the end of the tank , because he was even trying to get to Ian our betta, who is in a 10gal next to the 55gal. I wouldn't have worried too much, but he caught Ian's attention and had him flaring.

New tankmate!

We went to petsmart today to see if they had any new juvI bps, and at the second one they did! LexI picked out the smallest of four, and we are acclimating right now. Pics to come!

Hahaha that's great! The third picture in your first post is very interesting. The stripes remind me of a convict.

I have read that since the male bps are mostly sterile, the female can be cross bred with convicts. If that is the case it may explain the stripes. The stripes should fade as they mature though. I just wish it would turn orange with the black stripes. That would be awesome!

The new one is about the same size. I can't get a pic though. He runs into a cave every time I come in the room. Definitely allot more shy than the first one.
