What is the water volume of the tank? 20 gallons
How long has the tank been running? Since december/ around a month
Does it have a filter? yes
Does it have a heater? yes
What is the water temperature? 76f
What is the entire stocking of this tank? (Please list all fish and inverts.) A white skirt, a black skirt, a glofish tetra, and a rabbit snail. Planning on adding more tetra just wont have the money until the 1st.
Maintenance
How often do you change the water? every 2 weeks
How much of the water do you change? 25% or around 5 gallons
What do you use to treat your water? tetra aquasafe
Do you vacuum the substrate or just the water? i vaccum the gravel

Did you cycle your tank before adding fish? Yes (had to do an in fish cycle with the glofish i used tetra safestart and cleaning bacteria and made sure ammonia was gone before adding new fish and snail)
What do you use to test the water? A api ammonia master test and tetra 5 in 1 easystrips (planning to get a full master test next month)
What are your parameters? We need to know the exact numbers, not just “fine” or “safe”.

How much do you feed your fish? a small pinch
What brand of food do you feed your fish? tetracolor tropical flakes

Illness & Symptoms
How long have you had this fish? january 22 (a Week)
How long ago did you first notice these symptoms? today
In a few words, can you explain the symptoms? His mouth seems to be stuck open but he's acting normal otherwise
Have you started any treatment for the illness? no
Was your fish physically ill or injured upon purchase? no
How has its behavior and appearance changed, if at all? Hes acting like himself but his mouth is just stuck open
Explain your emergency situation in detail. (Please give a clear explanation of what is going on, include details from the beginning of the illness leading up to now) Today He ate normally and as I was watching him this afternoon I noticed his mouth was open. I watched him for a little while to see if he would close it and he hasn't. He is still chasing and playing with his tank mates as usual and none of the other fish have their mouth open. The snail is just chilling in one spot but he moves a lot at night so im not too worried about him. I added some photos if that helps.
Update: I contacted the fish store I bought him from and they said he probably misaligned his jaw and i should watch him until he unlocks it.
