Scooped a number of males out of their tank to make some pictures...
These tuxedo endlers (aka black flame endlers) remain beautiful to look at...
This concerns a hybrid strain, btw...

Most males have a red chest...And some even show a snake chest...
Females of this strain show a clear dark shimmer on their dark grey bodies which looks quite different from most endler and endler hybrid strains.

I'm keeping this strain about 12 years. First group I've kept came from a Thailand import.

Wow. How many strains do you have going ?
At the moment I've got 32 different strains of endlers (pure and hybrid). Use to have others as well but I got rid of some to make space for other livebearers.

In total I've got 104 different species overhere... Just counted the strains...
But I do have to admit that it varies from time to time...

Well, the number of 104 consists of different kinds of livebearers. So, not just endlers and guppies to be clear...

Well, no matter the class... it can still be a beautiful specimen...
Even in my mutt tank there are beautiful specimens swimming around but they just don't meet up the characteristics of their own strain sufficiently. And therefore they've been culled from the colony.

I managed to contact the breeder and he says it's a k class black bar with very little guppy ancestry from what he can tell. he had a ton of them and is working on perfecting the line so he donated some to be sold at aquashella fest, all payments going to our local fish rescue. he was $2 and he's still growing!
