My thought on torn fins

So in my observation, my betta has been doing WAY BETTER since it’s fins got torn, my conclusion is that if you have a long finned betta and it’s fins get ripped, and You treat for infection and all that the betta can do better, any thoughts?

Do you have pictures?
My betta’s torn fins are not doing well unfortunately. It seems painful for him to swim, but that could be from other problems

It’s still not healthy and the betta can still become infected if it ever gets stressed. He may be able to move better but ripped fins also allow more risk for infection. Even if you treat for it right away (which you shouldn’t for stress related reasons. Water changes are enough).

Yeah I did a wc and bumped up temp

To kill of possible infection I am doing It 1 degree per day 75 to 80 degrees

80 degrees isn't enough to kill off anything.. your betta is probably just happier with warmer water. you should always do regular water changes, if doing one made that big of a difference then you may want to adjust your routine accordingly
