My tetras are spawning all the time

Why are my tetras in my 55 gallon always spawnig.. from what I understand tetras are difficult to breed, yet my fish seem to be laying eggs constantly, but I don't understand why? And I have witnessed this on every occasion. it first started out with my lemon tetras, who also spawned in quarantine and I did have like 3 fry for a few weeks before they dissapeared.. Then once I moved them to the 55 gallon , they spawned again.. Then I added my black skirt tetras out of my other tank into this one and they also spawned, I never saw them spawn in the 29 gallon ever... I just added 5 silver tips to this tank that were in quarantine yesterday and they have been spawning all day today.. And yes I am witnessing the whole thing, eggs falling onto plants and everything the male is super spastic.. Is there something in my water? I am just so amazed that these fish are spawning like this with no effort on my part, it would cool if the eggs didn't get eaten immediatly.. But still neat..

I find Tetras easy to breed and raise, actually. My only experience are Bloodfins, but none the less, they did all the work for me, and a;; I had to do was catch the eggs before they go to the gravel and before they were all eaten.

Just means you have really happy fish

That's really cool, in all the years I have kept fish I had never saw a tetra spawn and I now over the last 6 months I have seen it so many times.. its really cool to watch. But I wouldn't have a clue how to catch the eggs...

I read somewhere if you put some marbles on your subtrate the eggs will fall down in between them and the other fish won't be able to reach them. Then you can retreive the eggs and put them in another tank to hatch.havent seen it in practice or even on internet videos but then I haven't actually looked.Dont even know if it works but if it does you could make some extra cash selling them to fund all the stuff you want but can't afford yet for you hobby/interest.

I was just going to say one thing. You say that you have done nothing special but yet you have or they wouldn’t spawn. You did all the right stuff when you set up the tank so that they feel at home so take some credit for doing things right. WTG
