My Tanks Main Info

    Tank 1: 10 gal. Quarantine SW. Actually empty.
    Project for Tank 1: DIY PVC Algae Turf in process. No lights. 4" depth Aragonite Reef Deep Sand Bed (unseeded sand is already in)+ 12 lbs of live rock (actually unseeded). Specific Gravity 1.026 (target). Tetra 5W UV-C Sterilizer adjusted at 220 GPH.

    Tank 2: 5.5 gal. Neocaridina denticulata sinensis Tank
    Bio-load: (Too many to count) Red Cherry Shrimp. One wild caught (Summer 2008) Nerite Snail. Small unidentified snail colony.
    Substrate: 4" depth 80% Natural Jimenoa River Sand :20% Eco-Complete substrate.
    Lighting: 2 x F10T8 at 6,400K (DIY, remote electronic ballast)
    Aquascaping: small driftwood, round rocks. Planted with unidentified native stem plant, Anubias barteri var barteri.
    Filtration: Hagen Elite fry sponge filter powered by output 1 of AquaClear 30 dual output airpump.
    Pending Project with Red Cherry Shrimp Tank: Add another F10T8 lamp. Install a simple electromechanical timer for lights.
    Water Parameters: pH 7.7, 11dGH, 7dKH, 165-225TDS, Temp 24-32C (75-90F).
    Fertilization: Every other week 1.5ml of Flourish Excel, 1ml API Leaf Zone.

    Tank 3: Aqueon 26bow. Betta splendens Tank.
    Bio-load: Plakat Sorority (8 females); School of Panda + Imitator Corydoras; Shoal of Kuhli Loaches.
    Substrate: 4" depth 20% Natural Jimenoa River Sand :80% Eco-Complete substrate.
    Lighting: 2 x F17T8 at 6,400K + 2 x F20T8 at 18,000K (DIY retrofit in 22"L lamp assemblies, with 2 remote electronic ballast)
    Aquascaping: Heavily panted with Aponogeton ulvaceus, Crinum callamistratum, [Giant] Vallisnera americana, Amazon Swords, Duckweed, Crinum nathans, Giant Hairgrass.
    Filtration: Hagen Elite dual sponge filter powered by output 1 of Heto SK9830 dual output airpump. ToM Rapids Mini Canister Filter (with Fluval Peat Fiber inside), Aqueon 30 HOB.
    Additional Info: Pressurized CO2 injection with Hagen Nutrafin Ladder as diffuser.
    Pending Project with SororityTank: Convert into Marlboro Discus Tank.
    Water Parameters: pH 6.7 5dGH, 2.5dKH, 145-210TDS, Temp 24-32C (75-90F).
    Fertilization: Every other week 2ml of Flourish Excel, 2ml API Leaf Zone.

    Tank 4: 145gal, Custom Built. Amazon tank.
    Bio-load: paired-off Tiger Oscars, school of 7 Silver Dollars, paired-off Angelfish, paired-off Firemouth (+ 7 juveniles), 3 Jack Dempsey, 1 Salvani, 1 Zebra Convict, 7 Giant Upside Down Catfish. 4 (native, wild caught) FW Clams.
    Substrate: 6" depth 40% Natural Jimenoa River Sand :60% Eco-Complete substrate.
    Lighting: 3xF30T8 at 10,000 3 Resun D30W lamps- (DIY retrofit in 36"L lamp assembly, with remote electronic ballast), + 2xF40T8 at 18,000K -2 Power-Glo 48"L lamps (DIY retrofit in 48"L lamp assembly using original reflector, electronic ballast placed inside); 6xF20T8 (DIY retrofit in a 24"L x 12"W hanging from ceiling lamp unit, two electronic ballast placed inside); 5xCFL17W at 6,500K (25W lamps almost melt the plastic case)
    Aquascaping: [Giant] Lightly planted with 1 Vallisnera americana, 2 Amazon Swords, 2 Crinum nathans, and native unidentified stem plant -left floating-
    Filtration: 3 AquaClear 110, 1 Resun BF-200 Internal Wet/Dry Filter.
    Additional Info: 18 Large Indian Almond Leaf (collected for free in my street) every two-to-three weeks to lower pH to 7.2 (once there, the tank may go a week or two without the almond leaves)
    Pending Project with the Amazon Tank: This tank is at floor level, placed on top of 1/2" corcksheet. A steel frame stand has already been designed by a structural engineer, the construction of which is still pending ($$ wise)
    Water Parameters: pH 7.2-7.4 5.5-9.0 dGH, 45-7.0 dKH, 195-295TDS (has raised to 385TDS when no WC was performed within a month), Temp 22-28C (72-82F). Fertilization: once a month, 20ml of Tetra Pond.

    Tank 5: Perfecto 40. Community
    Bioload: 1 Fat Sleeper Goby. Barbs (4 Red Torpedo barb school; 5 Cherry Barb school). 8 Australian Rainbowfish school. Rasboras (9 Harlequin school; 14 Red Tail school). Tetras (4 Serpae, 6 White Skirt, 16 Penguin, 12 Neon, 20 Emperor, 7 Red Tail Glass, 6 Bloodfin, 14 Black Neon, 25 Lemon, 20 Pristella). Corydoras (2 Bronze, 2 Albino; 2 Julii, 4 unidentified sp). 3 Indian Glass fish. 6 Glass Cat Fish. Livebearers (3 Swordtails, 3 Platies).
    Substrate: 6" depth 100% Eco-Complete substrate.
    Lighting: 2xF40T8 at 18,000 Power-Glo (DIY retrofit in 48"L lamp assembly, with internal electronic ballast).
    Aquascaping: [Giant] Vallisnera americana, 1 Amazon Sword, native Bacopa species, 1 Octopus plant, 6 Java Fern, 5 Anubias barteri, 1 Aponogeton undulatus (actually dormant)
    Filtration: Pro Clear Aquatics model 75 Wet/Dry Filter with Tetra Whisper 20i inside sump for Peat Filtration.
    Additional Info: 5W UV-C Sterilizer powered by AquaClear70 powerhead (from sump)
    Pending Project with the Community Tank: Upgrade lighting (to F54T5HO) and add pressurized CO2
    Water Parameters: pH 6.5-6.8; 4.5-6.0 dGH; 1.0-2.5 dKH; 130-225TDS.
    Fertilization:weekly with 2ml of API Leaf Zone + 3ml of Flourish Excel.

    Tank 6: Perfecto 30Breeder. PlaKat Betta sorority. Skunk Loach shoal.

    Tank 7: Perfecto 30Breeder. Apistogramma Tank
    Bio-load: 5 Apistogramma baenschi (Apistogramma Inka-50), 6 Mikrogeophagus altispinosus (Bolivian Ram), 40 Paracheirodon axelrodi (Cardinal Tetra).
    Substrate: 3" depth 30% Natural Jimenoa River Sand :70% Eco-Complete substrate.
    Lighting: 1x F20T8 at 18,000K + 4 CFL24T2 at 6,500K (DIY PVC Lamp Assembly). Actually on 14 hours on cycle controlled by electromechanical timer.
    Aquascaping:2 large hollow driftwood decors, two mid-sized and four small-sized driftwood (mango tree), Midground with medium-sized rounded Jimenoa River rocks. Planted with native Sword plant, Anubias barteri var barteri, Cryptocorine species, floating Hornwort. Green micro-algae cultivated in aquarium walls and all driftwood (as food for fry).
    Filtration: Hagen AquaClear 70 HOB.
    Additional Info: Pressurized CO2 injection with Hagen Nutrafin Ladder as diffuser. Use of RO processed drinking water with added Seachem's Equilibrium and occasional treated tap water for trace minerals and hardness.
    Pending Project with Apistogramma Tank: Looking for more adults A baenschi. Retrofit lamp assembly and upgrade to two F25T8 at 18,000K; retrofit the DIY PVC lamp assembly and replace the four CFLs with two F25T8 at 10,000K. Note: This lighting upgrade will stay only if the microalgae growth doesn't suffer.
    Water Parameters: pH 6.3, 2.5dGH, 1.0dKH, 110-145TDS, Temp 24-30C (75-88F).
    Fertilization: Every week 10ml API Leaf Zone).


    Tank 8: Perfecto 30Breeder. 12 Iriatherina werneri 10 Glossolepis incisus. 3 Melanotaenia boesemani. 12 Melanotaenia lacustris. 8 Glass Catfish.

    Tank 9: Perfecto 30Breeder. 12 Glossolepis incisus. 8 Melanotaenia lacustris. 3 Iriatherina werneri. 1 Golden Dojo Loach.

    Tank 10: 4gal cube. Xiphocaris elongata Tank
    B]Bio-load:[/B] 7 Yellow Nose Shrimp, One-eyed white Half Moon female Betta . Small unidentified snail colony.
    Substrate: 3" depth 100% Eco-Complete substrate.
    Lighting: 2 x CF9T4 at 5,500K (Modified ToM terrarium lamps)
    Aquascaping: small driftwood, rock. Planted with Java Fern, Anubias barteri var barteri.
    Filtration: Hagen Elite fry sponge filter powered by output 2 of AquaClear 30 dual output airpump.
    Pending Project with Yellow Nose Shrimp Tank Install a simple electromechanical timer for lights.
    Water Parameters: pH 7.5, 9dGH, 5dKH, 145-200TDS, Temp 24-31C (75-88F).
    Fertilization: Every other week 0.5ml of Flourish Excel, 1ml API Leaf Zone.


    Tank 11: 5.5gal. 4 Long arm Ghost Shrimp.

    Tankl 12: 20gal Custom built. FOWLR (used to be a Nano Reef but high temperature forced downgrade to FOWLR). 2 Amphirion ocellaris. 1 Amphirion percula. 2 Emerald Crabs. 1 Red Coral Crab. 2 Red Caribbean Pistol Shrimps. Feather Dusters.

    Tank 13: 20gal long. 7 juveniles Silver Dollars. 3 Melanotaenia boesemani. 5 Neon Tetras. 2 Whiptail Catfish.

    Tank 14: 80gal. Actually Empty.
    Project for Tank 14: Planted Discus Tank.
