My Tank Looks Ugly But I Don’t Know How To Fix It.

Ok, just to clear up. I am going to leave the 10 in it’s current form, and get 3 more neons to stop some fighting in the tank. You can follow my progress in my 50 gallon post.

 

Do neons fight with each other? I had a fight suddenly break out and the looses was murdered. I picked up a bunch more for the little school.

They can squabble amongst themselves, so more is better to distribute the fighting. There are cases of crazy neon tetras.

Fighting determines a pecking order within the school. When more are added to the school a new pecking order is worked out. Don't worry it doesn't last long. 1 thing to look for with neons is that cardinal tetras sometimes get mixed with in the pet store. You may have a mixed school. They look very similar.
