I have a 55 gallon community tank, that WAS well stocked, and peaceful. About a month ago we added a tangerine lobster (crawdad). In about 3 weeks, he had 17 fish killed and eaten. The tank also changed instantly. They all went from peaceful to prey. We've now moved him to a ten gallon cichlid, starter tank, with two convicts, and two tiger oscars. They've done fine for the last couple weeks, but today he molted for the first time in the new tank. Apparently during his vulnerability, the cichlids took advantage. He's now missing one pincher, which I'm pretty sure will grow back, his right eye is gone, and his feelers are WAY shorter. Obviously I need to remove him from that tank and give him his own, but will the damage grow back, and if not, does he have a shot at survival?
Thank you for any help.
Brian.
