I bought two 'freshwater' red claw crabs and while waiting for them, I done some research. I found they prefer to be in brackish water, so I bought a terrarium for them, some live sand from my lfs and cuy coconuts in half and boiled them to make hides. The crabs are not about in the day, which is disappointing, and dont seem to be eating. I looked up and read they dont eat for a week before molting. They are only small, so it could be true, or they are still settling in. Here is a pic of the terrarium and crabs. I feed them on cucumber, shrimp pellets, crab cuisine pellets, algae wafers, fish food flakes and dried bloodworm. One had a neon tetra. I know this as it disappeared from the tank. lol. The terratium is 45 x 45 x 45mm. The crabs are tiny. lol.
