My Recent Purchases Online

Hello all!

I am still getting used to ordering fish things online, but these are my most recent purchases.

First I must say so far I only order things off of amazon. Because it is safe and easy to get your money back if you need to. Also I gave Amazon prime which is awesome, I recommend looking into it if you order on amazon alot.

The first thing I ordered was some IAL. I wanted to get some in bulk because I use a lot and I would rather not pay $10 for 10. So I was doing some digging and found a company from here states who was selling 250g worth (roughly 125 leaves) for $35 Canadian. So I went for it. They said 4-6 weeks before I would get it but I was in no rush. But in two weeks they showed up in a strangely marked beaten up box. I was thinking oh no, this is not a good sign. But I opened it and they were really really nice. It turns out the company is actually based in Germany but ships to the US so they can distribute to North America. But they get the leaves straight from Myanmar. I took a few pictures of the box so you could see and here is a link from where I got them. They also included a paper with info about the company and other things they sell and they spelt Java moss wrong. I just thought that was funny.

The second thing I got was 8 4cm marimo moss balls from luffy aquatics. They arrived timely but they were quite hot when I got them so I was worried, but they are not brown at all.
They are a nice colour and some are smaller and some are bigger and some aren't really round but I don't mind because I know that they are real. They were a bit dirty but I always rinse my moss balls before putting them in the tank anyway. Overall they were good.
I also attached some pictures and a link to where it got them. Just so you know my hands are abnormally small so they look bigger than they should.

If you have any other questions about them please ask. Or if you can suggest where I can get them else where for cheaper or better quality please feel free to let me know!

-freak

I'm forever on amazon seeing what kind of deals they have since they have almost everything I need but can't get locally. I live in a very rural place with no fish supply store other then petvalu (which has horrible selections) or petsmart which is an hour away so I can't always go there. just wished they sold more live plants that won't take forever to arrive lol. although I do agree with amazon prime, I enjoy not having to pay for shipping and having pretty good discounts during certain times of the year.

It's not Amazon but I recently bought plants for the first time and I got them online here...

The quality, size, everything about them is, in my book at least, top notch. The prices aren't bad and they were delivered within 3-4 days. I went back to them again this week and already have the anubias that I wanted and holy cow, they're gorgeous, they're huge, just really nice, big dark green leaves with large rhizomes. Packaged to take the conditions were having with the heat right now too.

I know someone who works in the states but lives in Canada and I've done it a few times when it was stupid expensive here but I don't like to bug him.

I will definitely check that out. I am looking for a place that sells good Java ferns. At petsmart they are $6 for a teeny tiny plant.

Hopefully they ship to Canada. It's hard finding online stores that ship to Canada for some reason
