that sounds like ich.. it looks like salt sprinkled on your fish.. the treatment is to turn the water temp up to 82 and keep it at least 82 for 2 weeks to clear the ich (ich doesn't like warm water). - this is also a safe product for your tank and can help clear the ich faster, but heat alone will almost always clear ich just be sure to keep the temp above 82 for 2 weeks even if the spots clear.

I think My Platys my have this... there is about 4 -5 small white spots on one (couple on the tail, rest on the body) The other (PREGNANT) has 2 spots on her tail & one on her body... I don't have anywhere to put them (other tank) because it is still cycling will the temp hurt any of my other fish, frog or PG Platy? Same with any treatment?
Please help

I believe all of your fish could handle 82-84.. I would recommend increasing the air stone/air bubbles in the tank since the higher temp will make for less oxygen in the water. The Ich-Attack is the only med that i'd use for ich (and you don't have to use a med if you want to let heat alone do it). It's safe for scaleless fish, fry and amphibians. I'm not sure on the ghost shrimp, it doesn't say it's safe for them, but doesn't say to remove them either like most meds do.

Can pants ooops, plants, get ich?! I never knew that. How is that even possible? Does it cross over between animal-vegetal hosts?

well pants can get ich and I tell you, it gives you a MAJORLY embarassing scratching desire.. ! plants can't get ich, but when you see signs of ich, it usually means the pathogens causing the ich are throughout the tank and all the fish in the tank need treated - otherwise if you only treat some, the others could break out and reinfect the ones you treated.
