Thanks! I really enjoy my dwarf gourami. I have heard so many stories of people getting sick DGs but so far I haven't had any issues with him. He is definitely king of the tank.

Gamer: Thanks, I'm definitely proud! It's my only tank besides my fiancé's 10 gallon betta tank. I'm kind of the opposite of most people on here. I like having one tank so that I can put all of my money and effort into it. I wish it were bigger but I only have room for a 29 gallon.

Escapay: I don't dose with any ferts, not even root tabs anymore. I also don't use CO2. My lighting is a daylight T8 bulb which gives below 2 wpg. I just chose a lot of "easy to grow" plants like anubias, anacharis, java fern, and crypt wendtii. So far I am very happy with their growth.

It looks great. You did a good job researching what plants you can keep with the lighting you have. Low light "easy to grow" tanks can be very rewarding. Yours is awesome

Looks great! I'm thinking about getting a dwarf gourami. Do they usually only sit near the bottom or are they active?

Thanks Daniostetras! Welcome to Fishlore! My dwarf gourami is usually near the top 1/3 of the tank and he is very active. He was just at the bottom during this photo because I had dropped frog pellets and an algae wafer in. He loves to eat food that isn't meant for him lol.

Thank you! I'm glad to hear they are active, but now my decision for stocking is that much harder! I can relate to the eating thing, my shrimp used to do that too.
