Hello all -
I have decided I'd like to do a live plant tank - and would like to keep it simple at first to make sure I know what I'm doing. I've read a lot of posts on here, and the stickies. I'd like to tell you my plan, and would love advice if I can do more.

Tank: 48 gallons tall - uncycled as of now with 2 corys and 4 platys.
I currently have fake plants and rocks - My plan is to start easy, with either Java Moss or Java Fern, and get some aquatic wood to attach.

Substrate is fake rock (Typical that you'd find in Petco or similar). From what I've reading, the substrate is not ideal for plants that have roots, but both Java Moss and Java Fern can be attached to the driftwood.

Is my info correct so far? Are there any other plants for low/moderate light that are easy to care for and would work with my substrate?

Picture is attached. Let me know if there are any questions. THANKS!!! I love this community!

James
