My Oscar Hasn't Eaten For 5 Days...

I added a second oscar with my oscar. I have a tank divider. My water quality is fine. I have offered every type of food there is. And she still won't eat. I dumped 10 feeders in the other day and its like she didn't even notice. Possible problems:
-Breeding
-Parasite/Bacterial
-Nitrate jump (her old tank had VERY high nitrates)
-New enviroment

I do know that oscars will go on hunger stike. But she is getting really skinnky and I'm really worried.

 

How big is the tank? Is the divider dividing the tank evenly? Why did you transfer the oscar to the new tank?

 

I have 4 Oscars, Oscars can be difficult when it comes to eating but a healthy Oscar will eat anything whenever you feed it 99% of the time, when I got my female oscar she didn’t eat for 8 days and now only wants to eat. What does your Oscar do? what’s the behavior of it and tiny confind space will make it upset

 

75 gallons. The divider is right down the center. the second oscar is a rescue.

How big is your oscar cus half of a 75 gallon is pretty small for a 6+ inch oscar and that's probably why

 

They are following eachother's movements through the divider. I do know that 75 gallons is considered quite small for two oscars but I plan on upgrading. I also have lots of filtration and plenty of plants with regular water changes. The oscars are about 8inh. each

 

Number one rule of advice..... -----Never Feed A Oscar Feeder Fish!!!!!!!

 

ya 8 inches for 37gallons isn't a lot of space. he’s probably mad you took half his swimming space. Imagine living in a 700sqft apartment and someone just closed off 350sqft of your apartment, you’d be mad too.
