My new Ember Tetras! They are so tiny but so cute! Ordering more next week to complete my school!!

How cute!! Congrads!! Do you have sand substrate? I'm just curious because it's really pretty!!

 

Yeah I do. Its actually pool filter sand! I spent maybe $6 for my entire tank which is 60 gallons! That gave me about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches throughout the whole tank! I love it!

Awesome! Do you ever have problems with your filter picking up sand and not running? I have sand in my snail tank and that's my problem at the moment. I have to say it again but I love your tetras!

 

Never. Just make sure you rinse it really good before putting it in your tank. I left my filter off over night to let my sand settle. I just did a water chnage before song the sand so my fish were fine for those few hours.
