Been looking for these for months since I seen them on someones post here, also called polar blue parrot cichlids- my LFS got these from overseas & I bought a pair. So happy, I love these little guys, look like blue miniature blood parrot cichlids, but they don’t get as big and not as aggressive. But still cichlid aggressive. Rare little critters here, hard to fine. Any information anyone has on them would be very helpful.

Yes, they are. A blood parrot cichlid is a hybrid- they came from that. I know they are a cross between convict/blood parrot cichlids....... do you have any? Or know how to care for them? Any information on their care is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Sorry for such a delayed reply, both blood parrots and convicts can be aggressive so I would say to choose tank mates wisely. Any updates on them?

Hello
Yes, I have moved them to temporary tank by themselves right now as I will be setting up a 45 gallon just for them. They are very food aggressive, but I love the way they look- like baby blue blood parrots. I’ve been wanting them for months- but unable to find them until now. He said I have male & female- will see.
So, I’ll update when I get the 45 set up & choose more tank mates for them.

Unrelated but this is what my convict did to me so if you do have a pair watch out when they’re breeding aha

Very cool, I also have never seen that variety of blood parrot. I almost like them more than the standard color
