My new tank

Good afternoon everyone. In about two months this glass box will be filled with water and will be the new and bigger home for my fish.

First off all I'm not going to make the same mistakes I made with my beggining aquarium and I'm going to house my benificial bacteria and plants in this aquarium.

That means that I will use the filter and the water from my old aquarium.

My current stock is:

10 fire tetra's
1 BN pleco (the guy I sold it from said that it grew 8 cm but it might be so that he does not know what he is talking about so I got this tank so he wouldn't go stunting her spine)
a love couple of dwarf gouramies who are getting the chance to mate and build their bubble nest in this new tank
2 male platies who will have enough space to ease possible future alfa male problems
2 anetome helena (Their will be more of them as they have to cover more ground and I'm going to buy new plants)
4 amano shrimp.

Now I don't want any big fish as I could get more small fish for one big fish. Though I eas thinking about a bolivian ram dwarf cichlid.

Would it be possible for me to add any other fish and if so which one ? (maybe pangio khullI other dwarf gouramies and more tetra's)

I was also thinking about making the gravel higher in both the back corners and really low in the front side middle. In these 'hills' I could add a plastic pipe's I have (with I can at attache to each othet and even make corners)

At last I want to make many more small hiding spots. I would like to make one hiding spot spefically for the needs of my BN pleco and amano shrimp.

Thanks in advance.

It's a 110 liters (28, 29 gallon) 80 cm wide, 35 cm deep and 40 cm high.

IMO you could definitely add a Bolivian ran; but make sure to keep the water warm because they need warm water to be happu

It's 25 degrees celsius to keep everyone happy. Can I add any other fish if I add the ram? I prefet many small fishes over a few big fishes.

I was thinking about adding one bolivian ram 3 khullI loaches and 3 congo tetra's.

KhulI loaches need at least 6.
Yea I figured out that that both KhulI and Congo's won't work.

Fishlore says that khuli's need three of their kind.

Do you have any suggestions?

As for hiding places what would my BN pleco like? I also would like to make a hiding spot for my armano shrimp.

They need driftwood, if you don't have that already..... you can make a cave for them out of lava rocks or a broken flowerpot.
As for the loach thing, fishlore needs to update that. The things written by users aren't always correct on there.....

I already got a big piece of driftwood for my pleco.

I'll look for something else then.

+1 for a pleco cave. Make sure it's tall enough that he can comfortably go underneath, and turn around etc. Plecos often like to sleep upside down in their caves.

Would this flowerpot be enough? And do you know what my armano shrimp would like?

So which species of fish do guys think I should add to my stock along side the bolivian ram and my current stock?

How about a dwarf gourami, or a honey gourami?
Or a banded gouramI or thick-lipped gourami.....
I think that my male dwarf gouramI would fight with this new gourami. And females are not pretty.

Maybe some hatchet fish.

Sorry, I missed the gouramI part....
Yes, hatchetfish would work but they need a group of 6+ of their own species and a tight lid because they are jumpers.

Okay clear. I also got the original heater and pump from the juwel aquarium. Could I use these along with my superfish equipment?

Also what substrate would you reconment, sand or gravel?

Yes, you can use them, in fact you want to to keep the cycle going.
Sand.
Won't two heaters make it to hot?

If they are set to be at a certain temp, and sense the temp, then no....
You can always monitor the temp if it gets too hot.
