My new setup idea is half done...

I have decided to remove all my lava rock, keep my black sand and do stones, fake plants, and drift wood in the new setup. I'm going to have 3 CPO crayfish. Those will fill the bottom of my tank but for the top I was thinking about doing one large main center piece fish or group of medium fish. I had my heart set on one blue marble angelfish as the center fish but I read somewhere that they do not do very well in stronger currents? is this true? I have a larger external filter then I should so my current is relatively high but not so much as a power head made for current. If I can't go with an angelfish as my main center piece fish I might do a group of dwarf blue gouramis. Would 10 dwarf blues be to much for a 29 gallon tank to themselves other then crayfish?

Aqua Clear 70. Your referring to spray nozzles right?

 

you could possible baffle it some how.

 

if you buy and or make a long spray bar it will disperse the current over a wider area than that nozzle does.

yes it is an HOB so yeah the spray wouldn't work. Instead of a single angelfish I'm gonna do 10 gouramis instead so current won't be a factor anymore. Thanks again everyone for the help.

 

Get a water bottle cut the ends. Cit it down the center. Cut several squares into where the water would hit it. Then wrap it around from the top to the bottom cover the outflow. I did it to my aqueon. Works awesome. There's a video on here somewhere. Or go to youtube and look up diy hob baffle.
