My New Flowerhorn Is Becoming Scared Again After A Feeding

3 days ago a bought a grade A flowerhorn, the first day and a half he was very shy and would hide in the top left corner of my tank, when he was not hiding he would dart around the tank. The next day he was so awesome and and friendly. I ordered some new food for him and after I fed it he ate it and spit it out. He is now acting scared of me. He was eating normal the last 3 days and now I am worried for him. He was eating a lower protein pellet from my other tank and I know that changing foods on your fish can make a difference in their behavior. But my flowerhorn is now acting scared of me. I thought he would like higher protein pellets more. Sorry for the long post and if anyone has experienced this with there fish let me know what I should do or if is should be worried.

you should go back to the low protein then gradually go to the high protein. Have you tried frozen bloodworms or you should try soaking the food in garlic juice

 

I tried soaking in garlic juice and he spit that out also, I am a little nervous about the bloodworms because he has been acting very selective on what and how he is fed, if he gets hooked on bloodworms that may also lead to a issue. Or do u think it is worth a try

to be honest your situation is a weird one. Mine eats whatever I offer him. and that ranges from pellets to fillets. Try starving him for a few days then feed him something.

Three days isn't very long. Give him some time to calm down.
