My new Cherry Shrimp hard at work

Got some Cherry Shrimp from a friend of a friend. He gave me two females, a couple babies, and some males (9 total). I drip acclimated them on Wednesday the 12th. I counted 8 in one sitting since this weekend. Also I did a water change yesterday and did not find any dead so I don’t think I’ve lost any. The tank is 29 gallons, has been established for about 1 1/2 years and has stable parameters. Also I’ve added tons of plants in the past three months. They live with 10 cardinal tetra.

 

Shrimp seem so cool. I just haven't quite brought myself to take that plunge, yet.

I'm hoping the 9th one is just hiding.

I really love these little guys. Got into them before getting into fish - one had shrimplets that are now growing up, and two more are berried. It's so rewarding to watch families grow! <3 I have maybe 30? But they hide so often that I only see all of them when I do feedings.
You might see all 9 of yours at one point again too!
