My New Betta: Halfmoon Doubletail Plakat

I picked up a new betta at Petco on my lunch break today. I’ve never seen, nor heard of before, a halfmoon doubletail plakat. What really grabbed my attention was his coloring. He’s a got a red, white, and blue with a splash of yellow thing going on. He’s been settling into his new home for the past few hours.

my betta was labelled as a halfmoon doubletail plakat at petco but I don't think he's a halfmoon. when he flares I think his tail almost makes a halfmoon, but not quite.

our bettas are probably from the same line because they look kinda similar.

 

Petco had a whole range of betta types that I never heard of before. Bumblebees, Black Orchids, and a whole slew of others I can’t remember lol.

I haven’t really thought about a name yet. I’m bad at picking names.
