Sorry! I have midterms at university so I’ve been crazy! If you guys ever have an urgent question pm me and I will get an email! And I love the comments lol I will never get annoyed with snails. The spiral looks okay so I’m relieved about that. The floating container usually works really well. Yay!! The black mystery isn’t stretched out they do that when they feel like they are having trouble clinging on. What’s an air bath? In all my years of mystery snails I’ve never heard that! The dark spots are fine it’s just his color. His operculum looks much better already! How is the yellow/orange one?
Thanks so much! I totally understand! I just went through midterms too! An air bath is where you soak a piece of paper towel in water and form it into a nest then place the snail in the middle of the paper towel nest and let them sit for 15-20 minutes so they can inhale much more air out of water while also being humid. I did that and they both perked right up! I'll be doing that a few times a day for the next couple days. Actually placed them in the snail tank after and they are all over the place in there! Much more active than before! Glad to hear the black one is looking better! The orange one is doing just fine. The foot looks normal and he's active, just missing part of his antenna but he will survive.

Wow! That air bath worked wonders! I was so surprised to see that the black snail has somehow gotten onto my floating anubias plant's roots and is climbing all over on them! If anyone told me that this snail would be that active three days after buying him I would have thought they were lying! He has become way more active even compared to this morning! The orange one has decided that hiding at the bottom in the roots of some of my other plants is more to his liking he has been hanging out there all day and when I move him to another spot, he hurrys back over there.

May I ask the setup you have going on? And maybe your ph? My mystery snail has been acting ill for some weeks. Wont come out of his shell, and if he does he is only half way out on his side. Never moves or anything. Still alive though, but I don't know how. I think it might be because of my hardness but I can't check that.
HI Triston, I'm not sure if you're still following this post but incase you haven't read my comments, I would highly suggest to give your mystery snail an air bath if he still isn't active. All you have to do is soak a piece of paper towel in the tank water, form it into a nest (I put the nest it in a tupperware container) and place your snail into the middle. Leave the snail in the wet paper towel nest for 15-20 minutes. Do this a few times a day. This will give your snail a chance to get a ton if oxygen while still having the moisture it needs. And if your snail isn't active or climbing the walls, maybe he isn't getting enough oxygen. It sure perked my snails up!

Just a lorange package ones every day and I wouldn’t go longer than three days between feedings. Make sure the tank is heated and filtered for these guys! They make amazing pets! I breed them. Let me know if you have any questions! Attached is a few from my latest batch of cuties View attachment 416924
Just a reminder that mystery snails are omnivores and need a varied diet! Those algae wafers are a great start for them but should not be the primary diet. I use the orange package HikarI bottom feeder wafers and those have meat and veggies in them. I do the orange packet 6 days a week and the green package 1 day a week. It is best to give a tiny piece every day like 1/10 of the algae wafers or 1/4-1/2 of the orange package ones every day and I wouldn’t go longer than three days between feedings. Make sure the tank is heated and filtered for these guys! They make amazing pets! I breed them. Let me know if you have any questions!
