Hello have had a hard time of late losing Malcolm to columnaris I think and have been dealing with stress at work which is usual. But Friday morning my Mum was rushed into hospital with chest pains she had had another heart attack. She had a pacemaker fitted last year but hasn't settled well and has there has been lots of problems just can't get the warfarin levels right due to her having a rare blood type and to top it off my step grandma is in hospital to with a variety of infections and she unfortunately has dimentia also. I wanted to ask if you could send a prayer their way I'm sure it can only help thank you for reading I'm in a sad place right now

It is I didn't add my step grandad died four weeks ago and my aunty and I found out my uncle died about 12 months before and my family chose not to mention it as I apparently have enough on looking after my mum its a long story of rehabilitation. It can be hard work I've had nothing but hurt just lately I try to hold it all in but sometimes I need to let it out I think losing Malcolm was the last straw. Sorry for getting a bit deep just wanted to share. HoudinI is being a delightful distraction bless his monkey ness

Ugh that's awful. I'm sorry things are going so poorly for you now. I know you're really busy with everything that's going on, but I've found when I'm distracted with something interesting it helps to take my mind off of things. Maybe pick a fish you've been interested in, and research them? For example, you could learn everything there is to know about discus fish, or start learning about saltwater tanks, or something to that effect. (In your small amount of spare time, of course. ) That way you have something interesting to think about, and you get something out of it too.

Thank you I've been taken by blood parrots and am hopeful when I finally get my big tank I'll get a couple I have been trying to keep myself occupied by getting the right stocking for it but have so much going on but I do still have HoudinI and he has been super cute of late think he may be a little bored in his tank but hopefully getting some mts for him within the next couple of days to keep him company

HI Sarah - I am so sorry you and your family have been having such poor luck lately. I'm glad to hear your mum is doing better. Fingers crossed for your Nanna. I hope everything goes well for her as well. I am keeping you and yours in my prayers. I think maybe HoudinI knows you need the extra cuteness right now to help perk you up a bit. I am hopefully getting a pair of blood parrots tomorrow. Kind of falling in love with them as of late. My good lfs has a 1/2 price sale on all fish the 31st of every month and I am hoping he has some.

I will be sure to post picutres if I get them.

And totally unrelated - I was feeding Simon yesterday and a pellet stuck to my finger. He came right up to me and picked it off. I was thrilled!
