Hi, I'm in the process of setting up a planted aquarium with CO2 injection, I'd like to keep some medium-high light plants and I can't find a sure source on the internet that I could gauge my lights strength with, so I would like to console this forum.
I have a 38W LED fixture, with 174 white bulbs, 30 red and 30 blue. This setup equals roughly 3060 lumens, but if it were all white lights it'd be 4320.
Going off lumens seems wrong since red and blue colors contribute better to planted tanks with lower lumen output than for example, white lights.
I bought it from a trusted and veteran local manufacturer, and he equates this fixture to a 76W Fluorescent light fixture (96W if all white lights), which seems quite high.
I have a ~30g tank, whose dimensions are 80L, 34W and 43H (in cm) or 31.5L, 13.5W and 17H (in inch.), could this be considered high lighting?
Thanks for any answers!
