I LOVE these beasts but heck, such hard work!! At the moment it's 1:31am in the UK and the 2 dogs are play fighting!! I am soooooooo tired, I have hardly been to work lately so will be very skint VERY soon.

They are such beautiful animals and a dream to be with. However I need normallity SOOON!! I sat down at lunchtime with the newspaper and woke up over 4 hours later because my mobile was ringing!!

I hope my mate and her hubby have had a great holiday, I've enjoyed the change but as our other friends at the yard say I look worn out!!

I am moaning, sorry, i'm just tired and the older dog is picking on the teenage rottie as I type!! I LOVE them all so much but this is a MADHOUSE full of MAD animals!! Worst bit is I FIT IN!!!!

2 cats, 2 dogs and a HUGE stubborn female horse I have been caring for and will do anyday. I love each and everyone. I NEEEEEEEEEDDDD SLLLEEEEEP! I woke up the other night with the rottie standing ON ME like a mountain goat!! Rather heavy!!

Oh Michelle shut up and sleep! I have to admit I am SO tired i'm scared to sleep incase I don't wake up with my alarm!!

ok rant over i'm off to bed, just incase I don't wake up for a while happy halloween guys ......michelle

A friend of mine always told me that is how we can tell that God has a sense of humor. Even his creations make us smile. (Has anyone seen that funny home video of a monkey in a zoo that cringes after smelling his finger he just picked his but with?)

Well I have been sleeping for England since I got home but did manage to wake up for the rugby World cup yesterday.

Not sure about the proffessional house/pet sitting guys!! I do walk another mates dog every Tuesday and I will be back staying at the crazy zoo on Thursday but this time only for one night!!!

I miss the mad bunch, I have to say and who couldn't love this face!!??

For every naughty thing these critters do, they surely do something that grabs your heart and holds it. Right now I have my 4 cats and 6 fish tanks, lots of work, and then they give you the love look!!

If I was still working - I would have gone mad by now - there is just no way I could have come home from a 10 hour shift dealing with people in usually negative and compromising circumstances and then look after these guys.

Let's raise a glass to retirement, and finally getting to do something you love!!

No wonder you are pooped, Michelle! My pets seem to have become my full time job at home, wish I figure out a way to make $$$ instead of spend $$$ -- we'd be rich!

However, it is wayyyyyyyyyyy better than my paying job was - even tho I did it for over 25 years!!! Guess if you wait long enough!!

Oh, this is a message from my cats::;bb:;bb:;bb:;bb

OH FOR SURE!!! but the thing is he IS only just over 10 months old so still naive and learning life with humans rules!

If I say ' cuddle' he's allowed to put his feet on my shoulders for a hug, i'm only 5 foot 3, he must be a good 3 inches higher than me! Such a soft hearted boy too. Love him. His older buddy Harry is such a gent! Put's the rot in his place. If my mate says ok I will post more pics. Have FAB one of one of the cats behind laptop at her house, tis my current desktop pic.

God I love geckos!! I went to a course in Austria in the mountains once and they were everywhere when we had a touchlight nightime walk. I LOVED them, others didn't, I was SOOOO scared i'd stand on one. I didn't!!!

LoL My sister hated them. My mom and I were hoping to get one to live near our house (they serve as wonderful clean up crew. They eat all sorts of crickets and spiders and creepy crawlies). So a long time ago I managed to catch a baby in my hand. I kept it in there while I drove all the way home (my mom wouldn't touch it lol). I brought it inside the house and placed it underneath some cupboards. Now, years later, they're all over and my sister loves watching them as they cling to the outside of the window. She can even tell, and keeps track of, when they've eaten since they are so translucent. What she once hated now has grown fond of lol

Oh lord knows!! I've been asleep since then!!

I had goldfish as a child and loved them then one got dropsy and looked so vile, I was only about 10 I think but it freaked me out.
After that I hated seeing fish, would panic if one was around where I was, gave fish counters wide berth in supermarkets. OMG for many years i'd shake, burst into tears....it was awful.

One day my ex said I want to get a fish tank, my nightmare. He did, he said they are my goldfish I will look after them BUT like a kid he lost interest SO because i'm animal mad I had to learn to look after them. HAHA as in stand several feet away and hurl food in. Anyway I went for hypnotherapy to try to get rid of fear after a BAD accident with my horse, result was I LOVE fish!! Still scared of riding but LOVE fish!! Do I sound nuts?!

Actually there are some people that get so many phobias then end up developing a phobia of fear itself! I can't remember the name of it though. I feel sorry for such a person, that is just no way to live.

a fear of fear itself is "inspirational-speech-aphobia"

Check this out, this is so cool! The Phobia List

I loooove lists!!! (sorry, Michelle, totally hogging your thread here)

Here's some really cool extracts:

Fear of vomiting secondary to airsickness-----------Aeronausiphobia

Fear of opinions-----------Allodoxaphobia

Fear of garlic!!!-----------Alliumphobia

Fear of chickens-----------Alektorophobia

Fear of kidney disease (well, who doesn't?)-----------Albuminurophobia

Fear of scratches or being scratched!!!!!! (I guess now we know how to say 'scatching' in greek!)-----------Amychophobia

Fear of looking up-----------Anablephobia

Fear of wind (I had a cat like that, no kidding)-----------Ancraophobia

And the list just goes on. This is an unbelievable source of useless facts (my favorite kind of facts). Don't doctors have ANYTHING better to do than play around with greek names and inventing new fears?

Hey, I wonder if there's an official one for never-nudes (for those of you who watch Arrested Development -> Tobias Funke )

well, doctors like to invent new fears so they can make deceitful commercials pretending to care about you while they urge you to see a doctor and get another overpriced prescription drug thanks to their fear-mongering.

bhcaaron
  • #32
Well, I'm arachophobic. But, I don't want meds. I just want those scawy things kept away from me ;D

  • #33
Well, same for kidney disease. I just want to stay away from it, not take meds about my fear, LOL.

I just love the commercials that are like "if you feel anything, see your doctor, you could have this or that or the other thing and might die today"
