My ideal 10 gallon. Good or bad?

These are the fish I intend on getting for my ten gallon tank, I'm hoping for feedback on whether or not these guys would go well together!

1 male guppy
1 male dwarf gourami
2 pea puffers
1 marigold Platy
1 dwarf hatchet fish
1 honey gourami

Also considering 1 or 2 dwarf emerald rasboras, or maybe a danio

I currently have five ghost shrimp, but am thinking about a dwarf mexican crayfish to act asnmy bottom feeder, andnI read that they are veru timid and unlikely to attack my other fish like most lobsters.

Id love any feedback! Also any suggestions are welcome! I just would like variety with interesting fish that of course don't get too big for a ten gallon, and I want to avoid schooling fish because that would limit variety since id need to get like 6 of them. Thanks!

Hatchet fish are schooling fish, and puffers are to aggressive.
Dwarf\honey gourami need 20 gallon minimum.
Here are some suggestions...
4 male guppies and shrimp...
Male betta and shrimp, snail and plants...

Or killI fish. Just look up some pics of them. They are stunning.

Hi!
Sorry, the dwarf gourami gets too big for a 10g, I think the honey gourami is questionable, and I wouldn't do any of these period with a dwarf puffer. The danios are also schooling fish, which you said you wanted to avoid. Plus, zebra danios are way too active for a 10 gallon and require at least a 20g.

You could do the platy and a few guppies though. Or just the two pea puffers. I don't know about the hatchetfish.

Ive read that a honey gourami would be fine for a ten gallon, but I did just read about pea puffers being aggressive :/ really starting to wish I bought a 20 gallon instead

Hatchet fish are schooling fish and would need a bigger tank than that.....
Only the platy or guppy would work with other fish, the pea puffer would work but they need a species only tank.

Generally with aggressive fish you want to have things that break sight lines, since pea puffers are the size of a pea, a 10 gallon shoud be easy to decorate in such a way that the puffers can hide if they needed to.
If I remember correctly they aren't really that aggressive, but fish do have personality and some could be.

True, I read about some living peacefully with a couple dwarf gouramis as well as about someone buying eight and finding only one alive the next day. I saw a new batch in my lfs 4 out of 9 were already dead, id try only two at max. And I have a good amount of plants, I'm just worried they would kill my guppy because I raised it from birth

I have found out the hard way, guppies are delicious in the fish world. If there is a chance that a specific species may hurt the guppy...they always seem to. I recently had a rainbow cichlid (supposed to be one of the more peaceful cichlids) take out 2 of my guppies in less than 48 hours.

What you read about all but one being dead the next day could have been any number of variables. You don't know how they acclimated them or if their tank was ready for fish, or if it was a bad batch of fish etc. Unless they posted that info.

As for them being dead at your LFS, could be a bad batch or maybe they don't ship well, I'm unsure, but often when stores get fish a lot of them die shortly after arrival because of shipping stress. If they still have the puffers alive and kicking after about 2 weeks they would probably be ok.
I know Otocinclus don't ship very well at all and only a few survive more than a few days at stores.

That's true, I forgot to mention thebguy that bought 8 and had ok ne left tried to buy more again thinking it was a diseasenor his water and the same puffer was the only one survivng again. That could of course still be something else, and I didnt buy the puffers at thenlfs bc I thought it might be a disease, but shipping stress could be it as well.
